Cyberland Bank Loan Policy Manual

1.0 Loan types
Cyberland Bank currently offers three loan types: premium loans granted to our preferred customers based on credit and account considerations, superior loans for customers who have an above average history in dealings with the bank and standard for applicants who are not eligible for the premium or superior product.

2.0 Criteria for determining loan category
Loan officers will consider the following criteria in determining the loan type:

2.1 Credit rating/classification: The applicant's credit rating will be determined from credit reports obtained through our contracted credit reporting agency. The credit bureau's report includes a summary credit classification of good, medium or poor.

2.2 Banking history: The loan officer will evaluate the applicant's history of financial transactions with the bank (if any) including bank credit card history, overdrawn checking accounts and other issues to determine a banking history evaluation of none, poor, medium, good or excellent.

2.3 Cyberland Bank account balance: Loan officers will compute the aggregate value of the applicant's Cyberland accounts to assign an overall balance category of low, medium or high. The actual balance may also be considered in the loan type determination.

2.4 Loan amount: The dollar value of the requested loan will be taken into consideration when examining the strength of the other factors.

3.0 Guidelines for determining the loan category
Loan officers must use their discretion in determining the loan type but are expected to adhere to the following general guidelines. A premium loan will not be granted to an applicant who does not have a good credit rating and high balance unless that applicant has an excellent banking history with Cyberland Bank and at least a medium current account balance. Premium loans should not be given to any applicant who has a poor credit rating even if they qualify based on the other criteria. No one without a Cyberland Banking history or with a poor history should be given a loan that exceeds 40% of their current account balance. Applicants with low Cyberland Bank account balances and medium credit ratings should be considered qualified for a standard loan. However an applicant who has at least a good Cyberland Banking history may be granted a superior loan even with a poor credit rating. Applicants who do not satisfy these criteria should be denied a loan.
